Un homme entre dans un bar, commande huit pastis et les vide d'un trait un après l'autre. Une fois terminée, il en commande sept autres, les boit de la même façon. Il en commande alors six et se les enfile cul sec . Il en commande cinq puis quatre, ensuite trois. Soudain il s'arrête un instant et se met a réfléchir :
